Sprinkles is a Mac app, a command-line tool for Linux, and browser extensions for Safari, Chrome and Firefox that let you run your own CSS and JavaScript on the websites you choose. It does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
What Sprinkles does with your files
Your scripts and stylesheets live in a folder on your own computer. The Sprinkles app serves them to the browser extensions over a local HTTPS connection on your machine (localhost). Nothing is uploaded anywhere, and no copy is kept by us.
What the browser extensions access
The extensions read the list of files in your Sprinkles folder from the local app and inject the matching file into the sites whose names match. To do that they need permission to run on the sites you target. They do not read, record or transmit the content of the pages you visit, your browsing history, form input, or anything else. The only network connection they make is to the Sprinkles app on your own computer.
Analytics and tracking
Sprinkles contains no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising or third-party code that phones home. There are no accounts and no sign-in.
Certificates
To serve your files over HTTPS, the Mac app generates a certificate authority that is unique to your machine, valid only for localhost, and stored only on your computer. You can remove it at any time with Reset certificates in the app's settings.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
